ETHOS
Due to its location and history, Marion Swimming Club has a rich
diversity of membership across many water sports.
- Culture of friendship, encouragement and mentoring
From the very young to the young adult, members of all ages relate
together in friendship, with older members using their experience
to encourage others and receiving opportunities to develop their
leadership abilities.
Parents are an integral part of their child’s sporting life.
Parents and swimmers alike have a shared commitment to
the success of the Club through fundraising, timekeeping,
training as officials or helping at carnivals.
AIMS
- To promote swimming in the community.
- To promote swimming in both Primary and Secondary Schools.
- To have highly qualified coaches develop and guide swimmers toward their ultimate aims.

The Marion Swimming Club was formed
in 1979. The club offers the structure, facilities and incentives for
all levels of competitive swimming. It promotes parental support and
involvement to ensure the continued success, reward and satisfaction
which many achieve in competitive swimming.
The club has had a proud past with
swimmers competing at State, National and Olympic Levels. Others
compete successfully at local open carnivals and achieve great
satisfaction from the level of activity that they have chosen.
The club also has members competing
with success in Surf Life Saving, Triathlon and Royal Life Saving,
interstate and nationally.
The Marion Club promotes a good family atmosphere, with plenty of social activity and fun for all.
