MSC Carnival & The launch of MSC’s Indigenous Caps, as designed by La Toya

The Marion Carnival on January 14th marked a unique moment—the unveiling of the indigenous swim cap designed by LaToya Milera. More than swim gear, it symbolises our cultural ties and the unity found in water.

In Milera's words, "Water connects us, binds communities, and builds friendships for life." This sentiment echoed across the diverse swimming community, turning the event into a celebration of shared cultural identity. Watch the video below to hear LaToya speak about the design and the meaning behind the swimming cap.

We also would like to give special thanks to Brenton for orchestrating the seamless event and to Council Member Sarah Andrews MP for their crucial help in supporting the carnival.
